Dead Air 264 – Fright Night: Modern Vampires in the City

On Episode 264 of Dead Air we discuss the 1985 suburban Vampire classic; Fright Night!

Charley has a passion for his girlfriend Amy but an even deeper, some say, burning passion for whatever his new neightbours are doing.

admittedly it is bizzare, carrying coffins into the basement in the middle of the night, a parade of beautiful women coming over at all hours and the strangest thing of all; when they enter they never leave.

All signs point to Vampire but nobody will believe Charley that his neighbour Jerry is a creature of the night. With Amy and his friend Evil Ed and a late night horror host Peter Vincent in in tow, they’re off to prove Jerry is a blood sucker but it seems at the very least, Jerry has set his sights on the gang for his next victims.

About the author

The Dead Air Podcast was originally supposed to be a small five minute section within a larger show that was to be hosted by our mutual friend and former Rue Morgue Radio host/ producer; Tomb Dragomir. After I made the pilot, I realized that a segment where I talked by myself, sucked. I contacted Lydia and we started to make small segments for Tomb’s show. After about a year of waiting for a very busy Tomb we decided to take matters in to our own hands and launch Dead Air as its own show. Each week we sit down and discuss a horror movie that is either requested by you guys or from our own personal collections.
