Urban legends are modern folklore that are passed off as true stories. Perhaps you’ve heard of some urban legends yourself? Like the podcast where if you listen to an episode your best friend will kill you. None of that is true, of course. So, please enjoy Episode 244 of Dead Air – where we discuss the 1998 teen slasher classic; Urban Legend.

All is not well in the isolates campus of Pendleton University. Students seem to be going missing or dying and the only one that is concerned is young Natalie. First her former high-school friend, then the frat boy who wanted to take her out, now her gothy roommate? Is this all a coincidence or is something sinister going on. What makes things harder to prove is all o these elaborate crimes are done in the style of famous Urban Legends. The parka sporting axe wielding maniac stalking the grounds brings new meaning to the term “Backseat Driver”

The Dead Air Podcast was originally supposed to be a small five minute section within a larger show that was to be hosted by our mutual friend and former Rue Morgue Radio host/ producer; Tomb Dragomir. After I made the pilot, I realized that a segment where I talked by myself, sucked. I contacted Lydia and we started to make small segments for Tomb’s show. After about a year of waiting for a very busy Tomb we decided to take matters in to our own hands and launch Dead Air as its own show. Each week we sit down and discuss a horror movie that is either requested by you guys or from our own personal collections.
