Dead Air Ep 99 – Scarecrows

Bale some hay and break out your tin snips. Wes and Lydia get stuffed on Episode 99 of the Dead Air Podcast, with the 1988 film; Scarecrows.

A paramilitary group robs a base of 3.5 million dollars and after hijacking a plane they are set to fly off to spend their fortune. However, a betrayal by one of their own sees them find their way to a strand abandoned farmhouse that’s surrounded by scarecrows. It’s a race against time to find their money and get back to the skies. Soon though, their traitorous friend shows up stuffed with straw, not alive but but quite dead and it becomes obvious that these scarecrows are more than just decoration. Can they escape with their lives against an increasing horde of sack-boys with sickles or will they soon be strung up like the rest?

Sorry for the late update! My computer ate my first attempt at recording this episode so I had to wait a day. We’re back with Part three of the 2014, Nancy Collins iteration of Vampirella.

In this Issue Vampirella, now teamed with her unlikely partner, the Nosferatu Drago head off to Thailand in search of the fearsome Krasue. An ancient vampire that Vampirella must destroy and feed on if she is ever to be free from the Lady of Shadows.

Hurry hurry hurry, step right up to episode 98 of the Dead Air Podcast! On today’s episode we talk all the way up and down the 1981 classic; The Funhouse.

Amy and her boyfriend Buzz head to a carnival for a double date. It’s doobies and dude-bros laughing it up across the various attractions including a funhouse packed to the brim with animatronic dummies. An impromptu decision leaves the quartet overnight but as a they bare witness to a sex deal gone bad among carnival employees, it’s a fight for their lives to escape the funhouse owner and his deranged son!
