A podcast unmolested by time. Today we continue our Stephen Kingapalooza with the 1979 TV movie, Salem’s Lot!

Ben Mears is a successful writer that has returned to his hometown of Salem’s Lot after many years. All to write about a supposedly evil Marsten house that has loomed large in the town since as long as anyone can remember.

This house has recently become home to a Vampire named Barlow that unleashes his hunger and plague of vampirism throughout the town. As citizens are slowly turned it’s up to Ben and a few survivors to take out Barlow and flee the town. Unless they want to end up one of the many ghouls that now inhabit, Salem’s Lot.

Amy and her boyfriend Buzz head to a carnival for a double date. It’s doobies and dude-bros laughing it up across the various attractions including a funhouse packed to the brim with animatronic dummies. An impromptu decision leaves the quartet overnight but as a they bare witness to a sex deal gone bad among carnival employees, it’s a fight for their lives to escape the funhouse owner and his deranged son!

Ladies and gentlemen, rev your chainsaws! It’s time for part one of our two part Halloween special! On today’s episode Wes and Lydia pile in to a sweaty van and take you scene by agonizing scene through one of the most beloved and iconic horror films ever made the 1974 undisputed masterpiece; The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and here’s the “hook” it’s a commentary track!

Sally and her brother Franklin are joined by a few friends as they head back to their grandparents old home under the pretense of disturbing rumours of the local graveyard being subject to the unearthing and desecration of the dead. After taking pity on a shady hitchhiker this ill-fated troupe of travelers are in for a torturous and terrifying time as they (and we)  are introduced to the first family of fright!
